En live, Jonny utilise une radio portable dont il met en mémoire des stations qui parlent avant le concert; et pendant celui-ci, il passe de l'une à l'autre en ajoutant des tonnes d'effets par dessus. C'est un procédé qu'il a repris dans The National Anthem. Seize violons ont été utilisés pour faire le bruit sur le refrain et vers la fin de la piste. En fait, le groupe n'avait pas l'intention de rendre la chanson terrifiante, mais c'est plus ou moins venu tout seul.

• Climbing the walls, en anglais, cela signifie être tellement stressé, désespéré, énervé, qu'on pourrait faire l'impossible - comme grimper aux murs. Cela a parfois aussi la connotation de se sentir enfermé, encerclé, cerné. no chance of escape.
  
  Care In The Community, le projet dont parle Thom, est encore une brillante idée de Margaret Thatcher poursuivie par John Major quand il lui a succédé (cf. Electioneering). Il s'agissait, pour ne pas "gaspiller" les fonds publics, de ne plus soigner certains malades mentaux en hôpitaux psychiatriques mais dans leur famille. Thom, qui a travaillé occasionnellement en HP pendant sa jeunesse, s'est senti très concerné par le placement de ces personnes auprès de gens souvent très peu qualifiés pour ça.
